Choosing you, Intentionally...

I’ve been in a lot of reflection lately. January 1st came quickly, so I’ve been starting my new year at my own pace, and that feels better for me.

Intention is a big word that’s coming up for me right now.

How do I want to show up this year - for myself, for others? How do I want to feel? What do I want to start doing? What do I want to stop doing? What are my non-negotiables? Maybe these are some questions you’d like to sit with and write some thoughts down on paper.

In past years, I’ve often let life guide me in a way, and there’s nothing wrong with that. But this year, I’ve decided I’m going to be more intentional about guiding my life. Life will always shift our direction in unexpected ways, but I can choose ahead of time how I want to respond. Where I want to go. Who I want to be in challenging moments. Who I want to become.

So that when things do happen, I have a compass - and that compass is me.

We’re human. We will get off track. But we can always choose to come back to ourselves.

This is going to be a big year. A lot of change is coming, and we’ll be stretched - in the best way. I believe we’ll come out of this year barely recognizing ourselves, and that feels exciting.

You hear me say it often: get comfortable being uncomfortable. Can you relax when things feel challenging...or hard?

Yoga gives us direct experience of this which is why it's such a powerful practice.

Tending to our bodies feels especially important this year. It always has been - but will be even more so.

Not because something is going to go wrong, but because this year will be very dynamic.

Our bodies are what anchor us into reality. They hold the answers, healing & releif we’re looking for.

Everything we need is already & always within us.

I’ll leave us with a quote from B.K.S. Iyengar:“Keep your attention internal, not external - not worrying about what others see, but what the Self sees.”

I hope you continue to show up for yourself this year, in whatever way feels true for you. And if you choose movement as part of that, I’d be honored to move with you.

Reach out to me to find out all of the ways you can move with me this year.

Wishing you all a prosperous and peaceful 2026.

All my love,

Renee Dawn
